Since September 2024, Gübelin Gem Lab operates a permanent laboratory in Bangkok, Thailand. Attracting a unique blend of miners, cutters, treaters, traders, gem labs and jewellers from around the world, Bangkok is probably the most important centre of the global gemstone industry.

All types of coloured gemstones, diamonds, pearls and jewellery can be brought for testing to our Bangkok lab, for any type of service and testing.

The new location focuses on the recently launched Gem Passport, which offers a convenient and affordable service for stones that often are not accompanied by a testing document from a globally respected lab. For other types of services or goods, the items might get forwarded to one of the other Gübelin gem labs for advanced testing.
